 The
week before that, I painted a few acts at the Halifax
Buskers Festival. The Metro
News speculated that this might be the last Halifax International
Busker Festival even though it has been 24 years running.
At least I got
a couple paintings in while I was there to catalog this festival,
which has been a part of Halifax culture for so long! (How do
we prevent the end of this festival...?)
The
week before that, I painted on a Whale Watching tour by Murphys
on the Water
(Yes. On a boat.
Found it to be a lot more “rocky” than painting on a
tall ship!).
We did not see
whales on this particular trip, but it was still a hoot trying to
paint with all those big waves.
That painting
was a 2x3' canvas in 2 hours.
...Which
I also did before, a week before that.
(Paint on a boat,
that is.)
It was a wedding
on the Tall Ship Silva in Halifax Harbor!
I was positioned
next to the ship's captain looking down on where the bride and groom
said their vows.
Two hours for
a 2x3' canvas.
Painting
at the Halifax Jazz Festival
was awesome!! I produced four live paintings under the big festival
tent throughout the week.
There's a mention
of me in a Coast
review blog entry here!
I
did these as a fundraiser for Jazz East. 80% of the proceeds went
to Jazz East.
The final one
(on the right) is the only one still available, and it's being held
for an auction at their naually gala event on Dec 9th 2010.
